Random Hand Live

Having brought in 2013 at The Exchange on New Years Eve with an absolute storming gig, Random Hand are back.  We’re lucky to have them as their normally non stop gig schedule has become more selective over recent years.

Hugely influential and playing alongside (and sometimes above) the likes of Cancer Bats, King Prawn, Sick of It All and Reel Big Fish, Random Hand are as close to a house hold name in Keighley as any band gets.  Famed for their almost impossibly energetic live shows, the boys cast a combination of ska, punk, reggae and metal into a mold with unique results.  A style like this could be messy, but it’s all held together with superbly written songs that tell stories of sociopolitical unjustness and observations woven cleverly by Robin’s vocals.

The last gig at The Exchange was recorded and released on vinyl as Live in K-Town, check these out to get an idea of how amazingly tight this band are live.

Random Hand Human Pyramid

Guaranteed to be sweaty with a heaving dance floor, if you’ve never managed to catch Random Hand before you’re in for treat.  If you’ve seen them before, you know the score, see you on the floor!

Support comes from The Nice Sharp Pencils and Cut Yourself in Half, two headline worthy bands on their own.

“The Pencils” from over the valley in Sowerby Bridge are an odd outfit in that they consist of drums, bass and vocals.  That’s it.  Yet they manage to wield massive hooks which your ears find impossible not to latch onto and write great stripped down songs which flow with effortless ease.

Cut Yourself in Half leave a trail of destuction wherever they play with a combination of crushingly heavy riffs, solar plexus winding drums and soaring and driving vocal melodies.

We’re all in for a treat.
